Nearly & Newly Represent!
This past weekend First Baptist Church provided a Christmas Dessert Theatre experience for the community and a couple of our classmates were a part of the fun-filled productions. Luke, who is a baritone and Beth, who is a soprano sang in the choir. In addition, Erin was supposed to sing in the choir, but did not due to minor complications with her pregnancy.
This years production was titled "I'll Be Home", which takes place during the second World War in the forties. All of the characters were dressed in forties style clothing and sang forties style music. The characters in the theatre portion of the show dealt with the struggle between the problems of this World and relying on God. A line in the show says, "It if often difficult to hear God in this World." This light-hearted production was a great way to get in gear for the Holiday and serve the community with hospitality and love.
